Okay ~ so maybe I’m not quite the couponing queen yet, but I am enjoying my first weeks in the wonderful world of saving tons of cash!

My very first stash were FREE Kashi bars…yes I said FREE! I ended up stockpiling 25 boxes and this is where my obsession began.

I get 5 newspapers every week just for the coupons because I know that the savings I’ll make that week will more than make up for the $9.00 I spend on papers. In fact, this week I spent a whopping $29.00 on groceries! Yes…I’m serious…$29.00 on a weeks worth of groceries for a family of 4.

How did I manage to do this? Simple ~ it’s stockpiling. I stockpile the items that we most use when they go on sale. For example, I bought 15 boxes of pasta for $7.00. That is enough pasta to last us a few months. Rice-a-roni? How about 20 boxes for $3.00? Yup…stockpiled that too.

Today’s find? Stove Top was on sale for $.064/each. I had a coupon: buy 3 get $1.00 off.

6 boxes of Stove Top = $3.84
- (2) $1/3 Coupons
Total out of pocket was $1.84!

So now I have side dishes for the next 6 weeks all for $1.84! You cannot beat that.

Don’t think you have time for couponing? That’s what I thought until I discovered that there are TONS of websites out there that do all the work for you. They find all the deals, match up all the coupons from the Sunday paper and tell you how much you can save! Here are some of my favorites:

http://jillcataldo.com/
http://www.weusecoupons.com

http://hotcouponworld.com

Check them out and let me know what you think! Also, if you are already couponing…what was your biggest find?
