Morning Clutter Busters!
With the finish line in sight, we are almost done with our kitchen clutter busting challenge and I am pleased to announce that this weekend my fridge will be completely overhauled! I am looking forward to posting picutres; before and after. My fridge hasn’t received a good cleaning in a WHILE now…so I know that I need a plan of action.
Here is what I came up with:
- Empty out the fridge completely
- Throw out all of the expired foods
- Wipe down the inside of the walls and shelves with hot water
- Purchase and put in a new baking soda to absorb odors
- Put the food back into the fridge (organized)
- Wipe down the outside of the fridge
In an effort to continue clutter busting, I wanted to take a moment and reflect on the past 4 weeks and make some observations:
- My kitchen is MUCH cleaner! I’ve noticed that, compared to before, my kitchen is much cleaner than it used to be! Dishes get put away more often. Cabinets are no longer a source of stress when I open the door. It has become a much brighter and happier place to be.
- My husband has been inspired to do more. I recently learned that my husband is actually reading this blog! (hi honies). It is a blessing to me that he has found inspiration in the clutter busting posts that I’ve been putting up! I love seeing how it has been a positive influence on his life!
- Cleaning the kitchen is now an easy job – where before it was a daunting task.
There are so many more benefits I could mention. But these are my top 3.
You have seen the progression of my decluttering…now I want to see yours! Starting with this week’s challenge I’d love it if you could take a before and after picture of the areas we declutter! I would love to feature you here on my blog to provide inspiration to so many others who may be fearful to take action.
Now that the kitchen is almost decluttered…what area of the house would you like to move on to next? I’ll leave it up to you guys to determine what direction we go next.

I wish I could say I am doing as well as you
However, the garden has taken over most of my attention lol. One question ~ how on Earth did you get your hubby reading your blog??
Congrats on your decluttering ~ can’t wait to see how it goes with the fridge.

Julie:
You have a great website. I can’t believe you have enough time to blog and declutter! How about telling us your secret for having so much energy in your next post?

LOL – thanks for the compliment
I may just have to write about energy. Hmmm…got my wheels spinning
Thanks for stopping by!!
Hi Julie
Good on you
My clutter busting was around the pages and pages of useful Internet information that I print, read, then leave lying around!
I now have them filed neatly in a binder. Note that Jackie has a section all to herself, which shows how highly I rate her advice! http://internetmarketingformommies.com/weekly-blog-challenge-5/
Woops, I don’t know how to add a photo. I’ve put them on photoBucket.com – here is a link
